For your bidding pleasure in this lot is an early 1900's child's Wild West Native American Indian dress-up costume. The costume includes pants, a shirt, and a fur and feather trimmed headdress. The costume is made of a sturdy heavy cotton. The pants have a tag saying size 10. The pants have a button fly, belt-loops, a "rope" belt, and red and yellow fringe/trim on each leg. The pants measure 30" around the waist and have a 19" inseam. The shirt has a lace front, and on the blue yoke are yellow letters with metal studs, saying "Lone Wolf". The shirt has long sleeves and is trimmed in red and yellow fringe. The shirt measures 21" from the back collar to the bottom of the shirt, and the sleeves measure 16 1/2" long. The final piece of this costume is a headdress. The headdress has yellow metal studded letters reading "CHIEF" across the band. At each temple is a concho and fur trimming. There are eight dyed turkey feathers in the head band, with another four feathers in the "tail" of the headdress. The headdress is 20" around with a 13" tail. Some of the feathers on the headdress are cracked and the joint for the headdress band to tail has some separating and is supported by a safety-pin. This costume shows stains and wear from lots of fun use but is still solid.
