This is a pair of Defiance Lantern and Stamping Company railroad lanterns, model #39. Both are cast with DEFIANCE LANTERN & STAMPING COMPANY, ROCHESTER, NY USA on the chimney. One has a red extended base globe, while the other has a clear extended base globe. Both have the correct fount; one has a correct brass burner, while the other has a replacement brass burner. Two fine pieces!
