DANIEL PHILIP LANGE AND JOHAN STARCK (HANOVER, PENNSYLVANIA, ACTIVE 1805 - 1816) FRAKTUR BIRTH AND BAPTISMAL RECORD, hand-colored printed form on paper, made for Johannes Fravel, son of Heinrich and Elizabeth Hackman. Johannes was born April 25, 1795 in Shenandoah County, Virginia and was baptized by Pastor Christian Streidt. His sponsors were Johannes and Elizabeth Huber. Circa 1812. 12 3/4" x 15 1/2" sight, 15 3/4" x 18 5/8" OA.
Catalogue Note: This birth and baptismal certificate of Virginia interest may well have been made for a member of the Fravel family in Shenandoah Co., Virginia, which operated an important multi-generational chairmaking enterprise in the Valley in the 19th century and possibly earlier.
