Dial and movement signed.2, Cal.548 movement with 15 jewels, white enamel dial, fancy Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds, blued steel hands, circular case with screw-down reverse stamped with military broad arrow, letter B and numbered to the outer, the inner case stamped RYF & Marchand Ltd., on silver curb-link chain with T-Bar

Consigned by a descendant, apparently the original owner was a Scottish Police Officer and amateur watchmaker. It is probable he obtained a post-war pocket watch case by RYF Marchand Ltd and fitted a superior quality Rolex Swiss movement to improve accuracy. Used regularly while on duty, this combination would have been ideally suited for purpose.
