First edition of the folio photography album Meet Some of the Soviet People shot by Margaret Bourke White. The first American woman war photojournalist, Bourke-White spent weeks photographing the Soviet people in a positive light instead of negative war propaganda. This album of 12 black and white original photographs was published by the Russian War Relief, the largest American agency for foreign war relief in order to raise funds in 1941, one month after Germany's attack on Russia.
