An Adidas Betty Boop nylon track jacket owned by Amy Winehouse.
The jacket is red nylon with white piping and a cotton black and white micro-check knit trim. The jacket features a relaxed fit with a drop shoulder and loose sleeves that have elasticated cuffs. The contrasting knit trim emphasized a fitted waist. There are Betty Boop embroidered patches and embroidered lettering, the patches are seen front left side of the chest and at the back hidden in a pleat vent, and the lettering at at the front right (reading Betty Boop) and the left (reading Adidas), as well as the lettered phrase appliqued at the back reading, "Boo--Oop-A-Doop." Fully lined with a nylon lip print motif. There is an Adidas label present, labeled a size 8.
Winehouse even had a tattoo of Betty Boop, the famous cartoon character who was based on jazz culture, and signer Helen Kane who sang in a bady-like voice in the 1920s. Esther Jones also known as "Baby Esther" was the true originator of the character, which Kane saw and adapted to her act, never giving credit to Jones.
