Description
A very stylish original chased late Georgian oblong silver entree dish decorated with truly impressive floral embossing to the upper dish (cover) which is then set on a matt background for contrast. The lower dish (base) is plain formed in design to the body but has a shell and gadroon decorated applied rim. The contrast between chased upper dish and plain lower dish is incredibly unusual and shows supreme creative design (thinking) by the highly renowned Benjamin Smith dynasty!
