Description
Title: "Nouvelle Carte du Mexique, Du Texas et d’une Partie des Etats Limitrophes." Engraving with original hand-color. Paper size: 39 - 1/4” x 26 - 3/4”. The map shows the territory from the Mississippi River to the Pacific from the 44th Parallel north of the border between Mexico and the Oregon Territory and extending to the southern border of Mexico. After its initial publication in 1834 the map continued to be published in revised versions by Charles Picquet who purchased the Brue business in 1835. The 1845 edition, available here, is the fifth issue of the map. Inset maps are at bottom left margin and are entitled: Detail's des environs de Mexico et de la Vera-Cruz and Complement de la carte donnant Le Yucatan et une partie des provinces unies de l'Amerique Centrale. Author: Adrien Hubert Brue (1786-1832). This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made.
