in the Rococo Revival style, with pierced and shaped handle over, the sides and back door with Watteau style figural scenes, the case hallmarked London, 1899, with maker's mark for William Comyns & Sons, the white enamelled dial with Roman numerals, the single train timepiece movement winding from the back, with lever platform escapement, the backplate numbered 27655,
