Description
Two American Quilt Racks, First Half 19th Century. Comprising a faux grain paint decorated turned quilt rack and a walnut through tenoned three fold quilt / drying rack with ring-turned columnar supports. (2)
Dimensions: Height of painted rack 34in; width 27 1/2in; depth 11 3/4in.
Provenance: Property from the Collection of C. Thomas Attix Jr., East Windsor, New Jersey.
Condition
Each rack is structurally sound. The painted rack with scattered wear to surface and minor areas of refreshing and in-painting. The walnut rack retaining an old dry surface.
