Six Pennsylvania Cherry and Maple Coffee Grinders, 19th Century. Including one tiger maple coffee grinder labeled for Adam Pritz, Jr., Hanover, York County, dated 1834 and a cherry coffee grinder labeled for George Pritz, Hanover, York County, dated 1836.
Dimensions: Dimensions approximately: Height including handle 10 1/2in; width of top 7 1/4in; depth 8 1/2in.
Provenance:Â Property from the Collection of C. Thomas Attix Jr., East Windsor, New Jersey.
Condition
Each coffee grinder retaining an old untouched, dry and darkened surface. Scattered wear, oxidation, bending to metalwork and small losses throughout. Shrinkage and age cracks. The George Pritz example has a significant molding loss to the front right corner.
