Description
An Assembled Group of Pin Cushions and Sewing Accessories and Others, 19th Century. Comprising a three-tier chestnut sewing box with turned finials at corners, the lift-off top surmounted by a pin cushion; two mahogany sewing box pin cushions with pressed brass feet; small gutta percha hinged top box; walnut lap board; sewing clamp string winder; cherry and maple sock darner; felt lute form pin cushion; and a silk needle case. Condition
The three-tier sewing box with warping, losses and heavy wear to the pin cushion. One pin cushion with a loose pressed brass foot. Heavy wear and losses to the lute form pin cushion and needle case. Oxidation to the iron sewing clamp and small chip loss to the wood. General marks, wear, abrasions, scuffs, surface scratches and small losses throughout.
