[POTTERY]. [WELLESLEY, Arthur, First Duke of Wellington (1769-1852), subject]. Scarce Pair of Stephen Green Salt Glaze Duke of Wellington Pitchers. [Stephen Green for Lambeth Potteries, ca. 1830s]. Two beautifully executed salt glaze character jugs or pitchers of the Duke of Wellington. The caramel salt glazes on both are rich and both feature large handles. They are marked on the base with the Stephen Green logo. Sizes range from 6 ¼” to 5” high respectively. Minor rubbing, else fine. Rare.
