Description
Large antique faience tin-glazed hand-painted pottery charger. Continental 19th Century.
Signed on the back in cobalt blue, as shown. Circa 1820 - 1870's.
Painted with floral designs in dark red, eggplant, yellow, mustard yellow and blue on a thick milky white background. Flat bottom, shallow bowl form.
DIAMETER: 13.75” (35 cm)

Condition
Excellent condition with no damage or restoration. Areas of the clay body showing through the glaze and spur marks to the bottom, as is usual for this type of antique faience.
