Description
Robert "Bob" White (b.1939) - Tullytown, PA c. early 1970's - - During the early 1970's Bob, paying hommage to the legends before him, tried his hand at creating some antiqued style decoys. The market demand was high for this look and would eventually give way to modern day greats like Mark McNair and David Ward. Around this time Bob created his oval brand that read "Hand Carved by Bob White Tullytown, PA", which is burned into the bottom of this decoy. He used it for a time and considering it was all before going full time as a carver, there are few of these sought after "antiqued" style decoys out there. The decoy is hollow carved and has worn button eyes. The bottom bears the brand, leadpad weight and a line tie. Condition: Very good and original as aged by maker.
