Description
DESCRIPTION Woodcut on paper. This is print #113 of 135,NOTES :This prints is from the monumental series Triumph of the Emperor Maximilian I, It wass a large-scale mural project which reflected Emperor Maximilian I's (1459-1519) status as the Holy Roman Emperor and linked him symbolically with ancient Rome. The project was not finished by the time of Maximilian's death but the set was published later, in 1526. Hans Burgkmair designed much of the procession, begun in about 1512, with contributions from Albrecht Altdorfer, Hans Springinklee, Hans Beck and Hans Scheufelein. The designs were cut by Jost de Negker's large team of block-cutters. The prints is 18 inches by 16 inches without the frame. with the frame it is 27 by 25 inches. There are a few nicks on the frame. The prints are in very good condition.

good for its age. There are a few brown spots on the print and a few nicks on the frame. They can be restored
