Description
Pair of Gilt-Decorated Guilloche and Brass Opera Glasses, Emil Bruno Meyrowitz, New York; and a French Mother-of-Pearl Pair, Lemaire, Paris, Both 1880-1910. The first pair engine turned in a diamond and wave pattern in blue enamel, the eyepieces and handle surrounded by gilt bow-tied floral swags, marked around the ocular lenses "E.B. MEYROWITZ/ NEW YORK" and "E.B.MEYROWITZ/ PARIS;" the mother-of-pearl pair marked "LEMAIRE FABT/ PARIS." First pair: H: 1.625 in., W: 4.5 in., D: 1.625 in. Second pair: H: 2.25 in., W: 3.625 in., D: 1.25 in.
