Partly printed discharge document completed in manuscript. Austin, Republic of Texas, 8 January 1841. 1 page, 4to.
A Republic of Texas discharge document for Sergeant J. P. Mosley. It records that he served in “Captain January's Company (F) 1st regiment of Infantry." The document notes that Mosely was a 24-year-old a native of Virginia, with blue eyes and light hair. He enlisted by Captain Kermitt on 19 December 1838 to serve 3 years and "having served faithfully and honestly to this present date is now entitled to a discharge by reason of faithfull service."
A fine Revolutionary Army discharge.
