DESCRIPTION: Walnut Pennsylvania Chippendale high chest of drawers. South central Pennsylvania, circa 1780-1790. Form consists of a tall walnut case resting on four ogee feet. Front of the case with three small drawers over two medium drawers over five large drawers. All flanked with full length quarter columns and an overhanging molding. Each molded edge drawer with oval brass and matching overall escutcheon. The central small drawer with a brass escutcheon. Back board and feet original. MEASURMENTS: 42-3/4" wide x 21-1/2" deep x 63-1/4" high. CONDITION: Old finish, some finish wear, one drawer facing repaired. Split to top of uppermost full drawer; see image.
