Make : Made of heavy iron , hand hammered and hand chisel.
The Sikh soldiers used oval helmets with bump so that their long hairs knot could hang over easily in the bump at the top of helmet.
The helmet has SIKH pious symbol of 4 KHANDA, which are hand engraved.The helmet has hand engraved flower tendril.
The chain mail is and is to deflect a blow to this neck and sides. Inside of helmet has cotton with cloth cushion.
During research I have found similar helmet is well documented in war catalog and illustration at web pages.
