Description
D-068 German WWII "Lutzow" pattern Army Officer's dress sword. Age toned with gilt highlights. Oak leaf/relief Army eagle/swastika pommel and etched oak leaves on the reverse "P" knuckle-bow and ferrule. Relief swastika/broad sword/oak leaves on the shield-shaped langet. Marked "GES. GESCH" on underside of crossguard. Excellent 31 1/4" curved blade. Maked with the "Eickhorn - SOLINGEN" seated squirrel logo. Black enameled finish on the one-ring steel scabbard shows scratches and "spiders". Finish worn off of drag. Excellent portopee (silver wire on black with a silver knot). A scarce sword. II
