By Herman Miller, purchased in 1960 on Newbury Street in Boston by the consignor, designed by Charles and Ray Eames, who described it as "having the warm receptive look of a well-used first baseman's mitt", rosewood plywood frame, upholstered in black leather, round label underneath "Designed by Charles Eames, Herman Miller, Zeeland, Mich.", some cracking on front of arms, seat may have been recovered at a later date, (from a home in North Marshfield, MA), 31" h, 33" w (at arm).
