French Restoration Gilt Bronze Figural Mantel Clock, c. 1820, with a classical warrior standing next to the enamel dial clock, time and strike, marked "Fouquet a Tours," on a stepped base with a relief panel of a 19th c. battle scene, on tall gilt bronze feet, with key, H.- 18 in., W.- 13 7/8 in., D.- 4 7/8 in.
Condition
Condition consistent with age. Some scattered spotting is observed, with a mild patina seen to the feet. A few short hairline fractures are seen along the left side of the clock face. Not tested for working order. A handsome example.
