Description
The First National Bank in Prescott, Arizona was open for just over four years. It only issued small size notes. The census stands at 14 notes total. Six of those notes are a sheet of #1s that is locked up in an estate and likely to never hit the market. Another six notes are from a cut sheet of number one notes. A single #1 from the cut sheet has appeared at auction before. It was a poorly centered CU that sold for more than $15,000 during the doldrums of 2012. The other two notes are both circulated VFs; despite their condition, one of them still sold for $9,600 in 2009. The serial number two note we are offering is a fresh discovery directly out of Arizona. This note is CU with absolutely no folds and all the surfaces are completely original with deep embossing. Our estimate on this one is very defensible and could easily be topped.
