Aisaburo Akiyama (Japanese, 1916-1940), author; and Kawase Hasui (Japanese, 1883-1957), illustrator. Shinto and Its Architecture book, text by Akiyama, with 12 tipped in woodblock prints by Hasui. Japan Welcome Society (Kinki Kanko Kyokai), Kyoto, 1936. Book 10 1/8" x 7 1/4" x 1". Inscription in ink dated May 1936 on front endpaper. Foxing and staining to cover, covers creased and bumped, tear to front pastedown, light toning and foxing to pages, corner of Yasaka Shrine page torn.
