Modern half vellum binding with gilt title on spine
Some wear , faded dampstains on first 2 leaves.
The title page laid down.
The author, the Jesuit Caussin (1583-1651), was theologian, mystic, confessor of Louis XIII on the designation of Richelieu and avid popularizer of neo-Platonist theories.
