Case Shape: Round

Case Dimensions: Diameter: 1.97 in (50 mm)

Waltham Riverside. A Rare Heavy Gold Keyless Lever Chronograph Hunter Pocket Watch C1884.
Dial: The white enamel dial with Roman numerals outer minute track, signed A.W.W. Co at twelve o'clock and Waltham at six o'clock. The unusual layout of the Subsidiary seconds dial at nine o'clock with the minute recorder dial at three o'clock. This is rare as the totalizer sub dial only records 15 minutes.
Case: The heavy (126grms) 18ct yellow gold hunting case with a plain front cover and a monogramed back cover. The inner cover is plain with the cases American hallmarked and signed Waltham. This is also rare as most American cases were made of 14ct gold.
Movement: The three quarter plate movement is of Riverside quality, nickel finished fully jewelled with compensation balance, Breguet hairspring, fogg and tadpole regulation with the chronograph mechanism exposed on the back plate. The movement is signed A.W.Co, Waltham Mass and numbered.
This pocket watch is rare for a number of reasons. The 18ct gold case, the nickel movement, the 15 minute totalizer dial and the condition of the watch. It would make an excellent addition to one's collection.
