Mario Carreno Morales (Cuban, 1913-1999). Graphite on paper drawing titled "Rumor de Piel" or "Love," depicting abstracted figures in a combination of Cubist abstraction and surrealism, 1964. Signed and dated along the lower left. With a catalog from Ediciones Galeria Imagen signed by the artist. Additionally with a letter to Stanton Catlin verifying the title of the drawing.
Provenance: Stanton L. Catlin, former director of the Center for Inter-American Relations; thence by descent.
