Two Victorian scrap books containing trade cards, die cuts, cut advertising from magazines, etc. - most 19th century. The book with mostly trade cards has 39 double pages, the other book with 30 double pages. Sampling of contents in photos. Descended from the Reverend James Johnson family, Easton CT (Reverend Johnson, 1734-1810, graduate of Yale University). The Reverend Johnson homestead was constructed in 1760 and has been in the same family for over 7 generations. He was the first minister of the Congregational Church of Easton a position which he held for 40 years. The item(s) identified here, were once owned by the Reverend or a descendant.
