Description
A Federal Tiger Maple Tilt-Top Candlestand, Early 19th Century. The highly figured rectangular top with double elliptic ends raised on a central support with urn form turning, shaped legs to tripod base, ending with small turned feet.
Dimensions: Height 29in; width 20 1/2in; depth 19 1/4in.
Provenance: Property from the Collection of C. Thomas Attix Jr., East Windsor, New Jersey.
Condition
Structurally sound. Retaining an old dry surface, especially to central support. General marks, wear, abrasions and surface scratches. Iron gussets to underside of support reinforcing the the three legs.
