Two American Black-Painted Chairs, Early 19th Century. Comprising a rush seat armchair with painted urns to the spindle back and arms, and a comb back rocking chair. (2)
Dimensions: Height of armchair 35in; width 22in; depth of seat 18in; seat height 17 1/2in; Height of rocking chair 40 3/4in; width 20 3/4in; depth of seat 14 1/2in; depth of seat 14 3/4in.
Provenance:Â Property from the Collection of C. Thomas Attix Jr., East Windsor, New Jersey.
Condition
Each chair is structurally sound. Retaining their early painted surface. Typical marks, rubbing, wear, abrasions and surface scratches.
