Description
Slab-built bottle-vase with a hand-made fabricated applied neck. Glazed with complex dripped design in brown and frosty white over an olive brown ground.
The Takumi Folk Crafts Shop was opened in 1933 and specialized in Mingei arts and crafts wares. Shoji Hamada displayed and sold many pieces at Takumi, along with Kawai Kanjiro and others and Hamada works sometimes still have the Takumi label.
