A Kingdom Of Wurttemberg Officer Of The Guards Regiment Sword, A Prussian 1889 Model Officer's Sword, And A Bavarian Court Sword The First Reign Of Charles I (1864-1891), The Remainder Reign Of Maximillian II (1848-1864) The first with bright slightly curved fullered blade etched with martial trophies and foliage over half its length along each side, the back at the forte etched with Stuttgart maker's name, gilt-brass stirrup hilt cast with a branch of oak on the knuckle-guard, outer langet set with enamelled guard star, inner langet with vacant armorial shield, lion-head rear quillon, pommel cast as a lion's head in the round set with red glass eyes, and wire-bound black composition grip, in its steel scabbard painted black (some surface rust) with ring for suspension; the second with nickel-plated slightly curved fullered blade etched over half its length with foliated strapwork over each side, one side involving martial trophies and an artillery train, and on the other with regimental details in gothic letters on a scroll, nickel-plated stirrup hilt, and wire-bound composition grip; the last (blade seized in the scabbard) with ormolu mounted hilt cast and chased with foliage overall, a recumbent lion on the shell-guard, and a lion-mask on the knuckle-guard, lion-head pommel, and chequered grip set with a shaped escutcheon bearing a crowned gothic 'M', in its black leather scabbard (loss of finish) with ormolu locket and chape (3) 80.7 cm., 81.5 cm. and 77 cm. blades For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
