Description
We are offering two sweaters that belonged to Angela Giokaris Jefferies, Marilyn Monroe's costumer and friend for many years. These sweaters were her property. According to the book "Angela Giokaris Jefferies," Marilyn's housekeeper Eunice was close with Angela, and after Marilyn passed, Eunice gave Angela a sweater that Marilyn loved. Angela later obtained a second sweater that was a tribute to Marilyn's final photo shoot, with only a Saks 5th Ave label used in Marilyn's final photo shoot. The second sweater also belonged to Marilyn but was not used in any photo shoot. Both sweaters belonged to Marilyn, and both are pictured in Angela's book. This lot comes with that book and a copy of a letter from the nephew, provenance by Angela's nephew Nicholas Eliopoulos, Emmy Award-winning producer, writer, director, and editor. Upon Angela's death, Nicholas received most of her estate, including these two sweaters, which were shown in the book.
