TEXTILE: Handwoven tapestry (probably French), 19th C., in wool predominately in muted shades of brown, green, and cream, with a design of a landscape framed by a floral border, landscape features trees on the sides, and a large bird in the foreground with a long neck and long tail, feeding on a fish or snake, a similar bird appears on the right side, brass hanging loops attached across the top, wear consistent with age and use including scattered areas of abrasion damage near the upper center, the tapestry technique is inherently fragile, and areas have pulled, sold as is, 62 ½" h. x 75" w. [not including fringe]
