Description

26 x 11” Matched Pair Murano/Venetian glass mirrors. Early 20th C. Featuring etched images of a Signorina and her Galante Signore. Further decorative etching of scrolls and arabesques at top and bottom. Beautiful hand-formed Murano glass framing with flowers. leaves, twist rods, C and S scrolls, and other decorative elements. The mirrors are complete; no missing parts. Likely assembled by SALIR (Studio Arts Labor Industrie Riunite) Murano. Acquired in France. Glass framing has repaired breaks in five places. One break to the upper left corner of the women mirror. General wear to mirror and frame from age and use.
