A Regency birds' eye maple and ebony line-inlaid writing box Fixed on a late Victorian birds' eye maple and ebonised moulded stand The box circa 1810; the stand 1885-1905; the hinged top inlaid with a central brass plaque engraved with the initials: 'J.C.B.', enclosing a fold-over leather inset writing surface and various stationery compartments, above a concealed lockable cedar lined drawer to one side, on slender ring turned legs with slightly splayed terminations, with a paper label inscribed: 'Richardson...
