James A. Linen autographed 1948 letter in which Linen thanks the sender for expressions of confidence in Soviet spy and intelligence agent Whittaker Chambers and informs the sender the letter will be forwarded to Chambers.
This letter was sent to Mrs. Loretto Falsey who was Chair of the National Committee on Legislation for American War Mothers.
Accompanied by original mailing envelope. Fine condition.
James A. Linen III was the publisher of TIME magazine for 15 years after WWII and president of the Parent Time Inc. from 1960 to 1969.
